Summary: Your uploaded documents are processed and immediately deleted. We do not store your original files or converted output on our servers beyond the active conversion session.
Document Processing
Uploaded Files
Retained for: Duration of conversion only (typically seconds to minutes)
Files are processed in memory and temporary storage, then immediately deleted after conversion completes or fails.
Converted Output
Retained for: Until downloaded or session ends
Converted markdown and chunk files are held temporarily for download, then automatically deleted. We do not keep copies.

Infrastructure & Security
Database Storage (Neon)
Account data is stored in Neon's managed PostgreSQL database with:
- AES-256 encryption at rest
- TLS encryption in transit
- Automatic daily backups (retained for disaster recovery)
- SOC 2 Type 2 compliance
- Data isolated per customer in secure cloud infrastructure
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Database backups are maintained by Neon for disaster recovery purposes. These backups follow the same security standards as production data and are automatically rotated according to Neon's retention policies.
Your Control Over Your Data
Export Your Data
You can request a full export of your account data at any time, including your conversion history and account details.
Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. This permanently removes all your data from our systems within 24 hours.
What We Don't Store
- Original documents — Deleted immediately after conversion
- Converted files — Deleted after download or session end
- Document contents — Never stored in our database
- Payment card details — Handled entirely by Stripe
- IP addresses — Not logged or stored
Third-Party Data Processing
When documents are processed through Google Gemini AI:
- Document content is sent via encrypted API connection
- Google does not use API data to train their models
- Data is processed in memory and not persisted by Google
